BaltMet in the ‘Baltic Game Industry’ project (2017-11-09)

‘Baltic Game Industry’ (BGI) starting October 2017, is an Interreg funded project and a flagship of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. BGI aims at fostering innovation power and the emergence of a powerful game business scene in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR), strengthening internationalisation and cooperation across stakeholders and countries, and finally transferring the industry into a global player with worldwide competitiveness. Under the leadership of the BGZ Berliner Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit mbH (BGZ Berlin International Cooperation Agency), 47 organisations from all eight EU Baltic Sea Member States are working together. They include public authorities, business associations, incubators, game developers, universities and further innovation intermediaries. These Organisations join forces to shape a crucial innovation and to transfer the Baltic Game Industry into a game business hotspot with a joint branding. In doing so, the BGI project supports the intentions of the BaltMet network. The BaltMet members Berlin, Helsinki and Stockholm are partners of BGI, further members commit to support and add advice, thus closely linking BGI with BaltMet..
